ACCREDITED |
The
UAA Human Services Department is very pleased to announce that both their
Associate of Applied Science and Bachelor of Human Services degrees have
been re-accredited by the Council for Standards in Human Service Education. The
Human Services Department, led by Dr. Laura Kelley, Accreditation Committee
Chair, prepared and submitted the re-accreditation Self-Study in July, 2008.
The re-accreditation was
approved at the October 2008 meeting of the entire Council for Standards
in Human Service Education. Included in the re-accreditation are the Mat-Su
Campus, Prince William Sound Community College, Kenai Peninsula Campus and the
Kachemak Bay Branch. The
Council approved both degree programs and commented on the excellence
of the self-study as well as on the quality of the
program, and commended the Human Services Department for its work and dedication
to the needs of the students and State of
